A practical look at what the Premium ANC Bundle includes, who benefits from buying it, and who should skip it for a single pair of ANC headphones.
Quick answer
If you want one purchase that covers active noise cancellation for commuting, work, and relaxing, the Premium ANC Bundle is a sensible buy. If you already own capable ANC headphones, or you only listen in quiet places, skip the bundle and put the money toward a single pair such as the Crusher 1080 ANC or Aviator 900 ANC.
What the Premium ANC Bundle actually includes
Skullcandy describes the Premium ANC Bundle as a carefully selected bundle that brings together Skullcandy's signature style and advanced active noise cancellation. The stated goal is to help you stay focused and immersed in your audio whether you are commuting, working, or relaxing. Active noise cancellation is the headline feature: it reduces unwanted background sound so your listening is less interrupted by engines, chatter, or office hum.
The bundle is priced at USD 262.69 against a catalog comparison price of USD 369.98. That comparison price is the only savings figure supplied, so treat it as the reference point rather than assuming a specific percentage. The product record does not list individual components or option types, so if you need to know exactly which items ship in the box, confirm that with the product page before ordering.
Why ANC matters more for some buyers than others
Noise cancellation earns its keep in predictable, noisy environments: a train or bus commute, an open-plan office, a shared living space, or a flight. In those settings, reduced background sound means you can listen at lower volume, which is easier on your ears over long sessions. If your listening happens mostly in a quiet room, ANC adds cost and complexity you may never use.
The bundle also makes sense if you want a single ANC setup that travels between contexts, rather than buying one pair for the commute and another for the desk. One purchase, one charging routine, one thing to remember when you leave the house.
Where a single pair beats the bundle
If your priority is sound character rather than convenience, a single headphone gives you more of your budget in one place. The Crusher 1080 ANC pairs Skullcandy's patented adjustable Crusher Bass with Sound By Bose audio technologies, plus powerful noise canceling and immersive spatial audio. The Aviator 900 ANC focuses on 360° audio soundscapes, premium adaptive noise canceling, and a retro-inspired design built around comfort. Neither is a bundle, but each is a focused ANC headphone, and both are listed at lower catalog prices than the bundle.
For gaming, the SLYR Pro takes a different route entirely, with gaming-tuned audio, a Clear Voice Smart Mic that uses A.I. to isolate your voice, and game/chat mix, custom EQs, and sidetone through the Skull-HQ App. If most of your headphone time is spent in voice chat, a bundle built around general ANC listening is not the tool for the job.
Decision rules for buying the Premium ANC Bundle
- Buy the bundle if noise is your main problem: You commute, work in a shared space, or travel often, and you want active noise cancellation to reduce background sound in more than one setting. One purchase covers the noisy parts of your day.
- Skip the bundle if you already own ANC headphones: A working pair of noise-cancelling headphones already solves the problem the bundle is built around, so the money is better spent on a single upgrade. Do not pay twice for the same capability.
- Choose a single pair if sound character comes first: The Crusher 1080 ANC focuses on adjustable Crusher Bass and spatial audio, while the Aviator 900 ANC focuses on 360° audio and adaptive noise canceling. Both concentrate the budget into one headphone. Pick the sound you want, not the bundle.
- Choose a gaming headset if voice chat is the priority: The SLYR Pro targets gaming with a Clear Voice Smart Mic and app-based game/chat mix, custom EQs, and sidetone. That is a different job than general ANC listening. Match the product to your main use, not the discount.
- Confirm the contents before you buy: The supplied bundle record does not list individual components or available option types. Check the product page if knowing exactly what ships matters to you. Verify, then decide.
Products worth comparing
- Premium ANC Bundle: Bundle brings together Skullcandy's signature style and advanced active noise cancellation, designed to help you stay focused and immersed whether commuting, working, or relaxing. This is the bundle's core promise: one purchase that covers noisy commutes, focused work, and downtime listening without buying separate headphones for each.
- Crusher® 1080 ANC: Crusher 1080 ANC combines Skullcandy's patented adjustable Crusher Bass with premium Sound By Bose audio technologies, plus powerful noise canceling and immersive spatial audio. If adjustable bass and spatial audio matter more to you than bundle convenience, this single headphone puts the budget into one focused ANC product.
- Aviator® 900 ANC: Aviator 900 ANC delivers 360° audio soundscapes, premium adaptive noise canceling, and an iconic retro-inspired design with comfort as a stated priority. Adaptive noise canceling and a comfort-first build suit long listening sessions, so it is a strong alternative when you want one premium pair rather than a bundle.
- SLYR® Pro: SLYR Pro offers gaming-tuned audio, a Clear Voice Smart Mic that uses A.I. to isolate your voice, and game/chat mix, custom EQs, and sidetone through the Skull-HQ App. If your priority is clear voice chat and game audio control, a gaming headset solves a different problem than an ANC bundle does.
Who the Premium ANC Bundle fits
Best for
- Commuters and travelers who want active noise cancellation to reduce background sound
- People who work in shared or open-plan spaces and need to stay focused
- Buyers who want one ANC purchase that covers commuting, working, and relaxing
- Shoppers who value a single order over assembling separate headphones
Not for
- Anyone who already owns capable noise-cancelling headphones
- Listeners who mostly use headphones in quiet rooms where ANC adds little
- Gamers whose main need is clear voice chat and game audio control
- Buyers who want to put the full budget into one specific sound signature
Check the bundle's product page for the exact contents and available options, then compare the total against the single pair you would otherwise buy. If the bundle replaces two purchases you would genuinely make, it earns its place. If it replaces none, buy the one headphone you actually want.
